PIDC organises health carnival

In conjunction with Mouth Cancer Awareness Week, Penang International Dental College (PIDC) with Pertubuhan Sihat Selalu will be organising a free health carnival at Butterworth Art Walk located behind Dewan Dato’ Haji Ahmad Badawi on Nov 24 from 8am to 12pm.

The event aims to promote awareness of mouth cancer which is the sixth most common cancer, and to raise funds for National Cancer Council Malaysia (MAKNA).

The event will provide the opportunity for the public to get free health check-ups including medical, dental, auditory, spine, join and muscle, and eye check-ups as well as oral cancer screening and smoking cessation counselling as part of PIDC’s holistic approach towards cancer awareness.

These check-ups are free and are open to everyone. It will be conducted by various health organisations such as the Ministry of Health, Loh Guan Lye Specialists Centre, Physiotherapy Spine Joint & Muscle Solutions, Audible Lab Sound Hearing Solution Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Red Crescent Society, and PIDC themselves.
