WCT to construct Parcel 1 of Pavilion Damansara Heights

PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary WCT Bhd has been awarded a RM1.774 billion contract for the construction and completion of Pavilion Damansara Heights, Parcel 1.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the group said it accepted the letter of award from Impian Ekspresi Sdn Bhd last Friday.

The scope of works under the contract includes the execution and completion of nine blocks of office tower, three blocks of service apartment on a podium block comprising retail space, mezzanine floors, lower ground floor and basement car park.

The works are expected to be completed within 38 months. The contract is expected to commence this month.

Impian Ekspresi is a related party, as WCT executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Siew Choon has an indirect equity interest in the company and sits on the board of the company.

Trading in WCT’s securities was suspended for an hour this morning from 9am till 10am. It closed morning trade up six sen at 92 sen with some 9.88 million shares changing hands.
