A total of 80 people comprising 40 lucky Watsons members and their partners are just about to have a whale of a time on a beautiful island in the Philippines.
For four days and three nights, they get to enjoy this all-expenses-paid holiday having won at the grand finale of the exciting Watsons “Switch. Save. Win” contest which ended in May 2018.
“We appreciate the loyalty of our members for their continuous support for our Watsons Brand products throughout the years,” said Watsons Malaysia general manager and country head Caryn Loh.
“The “Switch and Save” with Watsons Brand campaign, first launched in 2016, is an on-going initiative to encourage Watsons’ members and Watsons’ customers to switch to great quality with better savings with Watsons brand products,” Loh informed.
“The Watsons Brand has a long-standing legacy of providing affordable, high-quality and value-for-money products for the household. Competitive in pricing but not compromising on its quality, Watsons brand products has been gaining its own strong following among our members and customers since the brand’s introduction to the market,” Loh added.
Adding wow and thrill to the trip is the fact that Watsons celebrity friends Arja Lee, Sasha Saidin, Thanuja Ananthan and Amber Chia will be part of the convoy.
What’s amazing about these lucky winners was that all it took was firstly, to become a Watsons member, and next, to spend just RM30 on Watsons brand products in a single receipt to receive one entry or alternatively, RM30 on at least one of the participating brands which included Aroma, Collagen, Hair System, Natural or Water360 and a Watsons brand product (in a single receipt) to get two entries.
According to a representative from Watsons, the contest was more than well received – some 70,000 entries in all. Three hundred were selected to compete in three rounds of a game following an elimination process, leaving 40 grand-prize winners.
It was said that participants were tested on their Watsons Brand products and pricing knowledge. Apparently, Arja, Sasha and Thanuja were also part of the group of contestants.
Present at the prize-giving ceremony were Loh, Watsons customer director Danny Hoh, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines to Malaysia ambassador Charles C.Jose and the Philippines Department of Tourism’s marketing director Datuk Melissa Ong.
