Sabah State confirms rejection of MMC’s proposal to acquire Sabah Ports

PETALING JAYA: MMC Corp Bhd said it has received a letter from Sabah State Economic Planning Unit to confirm their non-acceptance of the former’s proposal to acquire 20% equity in Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd.

Last Friday, Suria Capital Holdings Bhd said it is no longer pursuing the proposed acquisition of its wholly-owned unit Sabah Ports by MMC Corp Bhd.

However, Suria Capital did not give a reason for its decision.

At the noon break, MMC slipped three sen or 2.07% to RM1.42 with 2.6 million shares changing hands.
