KUALA LUMPUR: Xin Hwa Holdings Bhd’s unit, Xin Hwa Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd, bagged six Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line 2 Serdang-Putrajaya contracts worth RM13.7 million in total from BBSB Holdings Sdn Bhd, Bridgex Sdn Bhd and SPC Industries Sdn Bhd.

In a statement today, the logistics services provider said the contracts involved the transport precast segmental box girders and crossbeam for the construction and completion of viaduct guideways and other associated works of the MRT Line 2.

Xin Hwa managing director Ng Aik Chuan said the contracts win is a “ringing endorsement” to the company’s expertise and capability in transportation of precast structures in Malaysia and Singapore for the past 10 years.

“Going forward, there are a few more opportunities in the pipeline that we are working hard on and we hope to deliver more good news in the near future,” he said.

The period of the contracts is until December 2019.
