Econpile bags RM48m piling contract from MRCB

KUALA LUMPUR: Econpile Holdings Bhd has secured a RM48 million contract from Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB) to undertake piling and basement works for Parcel B of its 9 Seputeh mixed development at Old Klang Road, here.

The contract entails piling and basement works for three residential blocks, a commercial area, and a two-storey basement car park, representing the company’s first works to be done for MRCB.

Executive director/ group chief executive officer Raymond Pang said with the new contract, Econpile’s current order book stands at RM1.2 billion which is estimated to be recognised over the next two years

“We believe that continuously adding reputable property names in our clientele would position us favourably in reinforcing our niche in providing specialized piling services, even in the challenging property sector,” he said.

Econpile’s scope of works are slated to take about 18 months to completion from the date of commencement and is expected contribute to the group from the financial years ending June 30, 2018 to 2019.
