WORLD-RENOWNED ballet troupe “The Little Angels of South Korea” will be performing in Malaysia for three days.

The stint here will mark the troupe’s third performance – a private royal showcase for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong in 1974, a previous public performance in 1996 and the upcoming one.

The ballet troupe will be performing at the Istana Budaya from Jan 14 to 16 in a jointly organised showcase by the Universal Peace Federation of Malaysia, the Women’s Federation for World Peace Malaysia and the Korean Cultural Foundation Inc.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards Ajar-Ajar Malaysia, which is an organisation providing free tuition for underprivileged school children.

The Little Angels of South Korea troupe was founded in 1962. It has made over 500 televised appearances and delivered more than 50 special performances before heads of states. The troupe has also completed 55 dance tours around the globe.

Moreover, the troupe has performed at the opening ceremony of the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 2002 FIFA World Cup that was jointly hosted by Korea and Japan. They are known as young ambassadors of Korea’s expressive and colourful traditional culture as their performances include folk songs, dance and drum-and-gong rhythms that reflect all that is Korean. The performers comprise female dancers aged between nine and 15.

Tickets for the performances here start from RM100. A discount of RM40 is available for children aged between four and 12, as well as senior citizens over the age of 60. For more information, visit the For tickets, call 03-2076 6500.
